Glass Options

Single Pane, clear glass. Used primarily to upgrade a screen to a basic enclosure. However, this glass does nothing to keep heat out.

Thermal pane/Double pane glass. Often called double glazing, this product revolutionized the windows market in the 1970s and 80s. Again, this glazing does very little to prevent heat from passing through the glass and into the room.

Low E Glass. The last five years have seen the emergence of a new generation of glazingā — Low E Glass or Low Emissivity Glass. A near invisible coating is applied to the pane of glass which helps reflect solar heat while also providing additional insulation in winter.

Celsius Performace Glass. Even though Low E Glass works well in the home, a conservatory is entirely different. Approximately 80% of the walls are glass, so a glazing with even greater levels of performance like Celsius Performance Glass is necessary.

Celsius Performance Glass takes normal Low E. glazing technology and magnifies it with amazing results.

Roof Options

Most of our customers opt for a space age glazing materials called polycarbonate for their roof.

Polycarbonate offers you the following benefits:

Strength. Polycarbonate is virtually unbreakable and is used to glaze cockpits of fighter planes.

Safety. Polycarbonate is 200 times stronger than a piece of glass and cannot shatter.

Reduced Glare. Polycarbonate diffuses sunlight and masks the build up of dirt and airborne debris.

Heat Reflective. Polycarbonate has good heat reflective properties while still remaining translucent.
